Bassist Whynot Jansveld on the road with Jam+ and HypeMiC

“I’ve been touring for twenty years and started recording long-distance about 15 years ago. When Apogee first came out with interfaces like the Apogee One that allowed me to have the same top-notch quality on the road as I did in my home studio, I never looked back. Since then, I haven’t left my house for longer than a day without an Apogee interface in my bag, and I can’t even begin to count how many tracks I’ve recorded with them. People sometimes ask how I got a certain bass sound, and my answer is often: a bass, a cable, an Apogee Jam, done. I currently have the latest Jam+ and HypeMic on the road with me, and I don’t think there’s anything I can’t get done without those two.”

Whynot just finished Natasha Bedingfield’s 2019 Roll With Me tour and is currently in the studio with Butch Walker. He has recorded and toured with countless artists, including Richard Marx and Jakob Dylan.  Whynot recently recorded and shot a Jam+ video at Apogee Studio with Joshua Ray Gooch.

Joshua Ray Gooch, LA based session guitarist / producer and touring guitarist for Shania Twain, recently stopped by the Apogee studio to share his experience recording with Jam+. Performing an original song with Whynot Jansveld (Bass) and Kiel Feher (Drums) all instruments were recorded live at the Apogee Studio with an Element 88 in Logic Pro X.  Joshua’s additional guitar solo parts were overdubbed using Jam+.  The session was mixed by Drew Allsbrook.
