Getting Started With HypeMiC

What does a single blue light mean on my HypeMiC? arrow down

Upon plugging your HypeMiC into a device, you will likely be greeted by a single blue light. This indicates that the microphone is receiving power, but is not actively being used as an audio input in your choice of recording/streaming/telecom software.

Once communication between your HypeMiC and your software is established, a single green light will come on, replacing the blue light. This indicates a happy, healthy, connection; your mic is ready to go!

Does the HypeMiC connect to my iPhone? arrow down

Yes, you can connect it via USB into your iPhone’s lightning port.

How do I use Blend Control? arrow down

When HypeMiC is plugged in and being used by an application as the microphone, the soft-key above the dial cycles through the 3 different monitoring blends. When the left-most LED is illuminated white, this indicates a full “direct’ monitoring signal. You’ll only hear what the microphone is picking up. Continuing to press the soft key again will cycle through the other 2 levels of blend. When the center LED is illuminated, you get a 50/50 equal blend of direct monitor from the HypeMiC signal and playback: The right-most LED illuminated white indicates full playback/software monitoring.

Testimonials

“I fell in love with the HypeMiC, because I love how tiny it is! I travel all the time, and it comes in this case that I can stick in my suitcase. I don’t have to worry about some sort of interface – it’s literally just plug and play into my computer, and throw up Garageband or Logic. It’s just fantastic for recording things on-the-go or on-the-fly! As a singer, the HypeMiC is great because I travel a lot for different gigs, and I still have to a do different jobs on the road. Without something compact, you can’t travel around with your whole studio in a suitcase. The sound quality is incredible, so the HypeMiC is my go-to for anything – especially on the road.”

“The HypeMiC has really been a game changer for actors worldwide, because it allows them to take this very high-end microphone, preamp and interface with them remotely. So whether they are working on the road, if they are at conventions, auditioning, or creating reels – we feel that the HypeMiC has been a phenomenal way for actors to be able to continue to deliver high-end performances without having to come into the studio. We have been recommending this to our students, to all the universities we are teaching at, and with all our actors coming through that are asking for recommendations on what to buy. This is a perfect supplement to their home studios because they can go on the road and not have to compromise fidelity.”
