Apogee ONE – How to Record Voiceovers in FCPX
In this tutorial we will show you how to use ONE with Final Cut Pro X.
To follow this tutorial, you will need ONE, Mac OS 10.6.8 or greater and Final Cut Pro X.
Make sure ONE is connected to your Mac via the provided USB cable, and that your headphones are plugged in.
Open Maestro, located in the Applications folder. Here you can select from the different ONE input choices. Change source to “Internal mic” if you are using ONE’s built in Mic, “External Mic” if you are using a dynamic or ribbon mic, “External 48volt mic” if you are using a condenser mic.
For now select “Internal Mic”
Open Final Cut Pro and create a new project.
Click on Window, Record Audio, and under Input Device, Select ONE.
Now under “Monitor select ONE
Position the play head where you want to start recording in the timeline.
Adjust levels and record.
