Welcome to Apogee Studio
Located in the heart of Santa Monica, California, Apogee Studio is a one-of-a-kind recording studio, immersive music venue, and product development lab housed within the solar-powered headquarters of Apogee Electronics. Founded by music industry pioneers Betty Bennett and Bob Clearmountain, Apogee Studio is where world-class artists and award-winning audio technology come together under one roof.
The spacious studio has hosted legendary performances and recordings from the likes of Mick Jagger and The Rolling Stones, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Bruce Springsteen, John Fogerty, John Mayer, and many more. In addition to private sessions and artist showcases, the studio has become known for its intimate live performances, including a celebrated series produced in collaboration with KCRW. At these events, up to 180 guests experience unforgettable concerts personally mixed by Bob Clearmountain.
More than just a studio, Apogee serves as “The Lab” for developing and testing the cutting-edge digital audio gear used in top studios and home setups around the world. As a hybrid space that blends music creation, performance, and innovation, Apogee Studio exemplifies the passion and precision behind Apogee Electronics, a company proudly led by Bennett for over 40 years.
In addition to hosting iconic sessions, Apogee Studio is fully equipped for Dolby Atmos playback experiences. The space features two Atmos systems—one in the live room (accommodating 50 or more guests) and another in the control room (perfect for 15 – 20 people)—making it ideal for both large group showcases and intimate listening events.
Apogee Studio is where the future of sound is imagined, created, and heard.
