Technical Project Program Manager

Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team. Candidates must have experience in engineering, interfacing with engineering contractors, and outside resources. This role will develop, implement, and sustain programs to implement process improvement and innovation. To lead and manage projects effectively, the Project Manager partners with cross-functional teams to identify integration points and interdependencies between processes to develop and execute the project plan, and deliver project objectives.

Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain the infrastructure of Project Management processes, procedures, support tools, and systems using industry best practices and business experience.

  • Collects and integrates project data including capture, analysis, and reporting of project performance, cost, and forecast impacts. Performs what-if analysis, revisions to project plans, schedules, and budgets. Maintains variance analysis for the project and assists with identifying and tracking issues to completion. Responsible for meeting established project reporting deadlines and data accuracy.
  • Performs schedule and cost peer reviews.
  • Develops and implements changes to project documentation, presentation materials and status reports. Initiates, processes, and tracks incorporation of project change requests.
  • Identifies potential schedule and/or cost issues. Proactively informs managers of these problems and proposes resolutions with enough time to prevent a negative impact.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressively responsible experience analyzing project performance management or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. 
  • Proven knowledge of Project Management concepts. 
  • PMP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:  

  • Self-motivated problem solver with excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of all cost and schedule related activities, (e.g. Work Breakdown Structure, sequencing, resource loading, and other controls)

Director of Sales

Apogee Electronics, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of professional digital audio equipment, is seeking an experienced and proven leader to run its sales and channel marketing departments. Working out of our sunny Santa Monica, CA office, this position has a direct impact on our brand and the quality of the products we are known for. Products like Symphony I/O, Quartet, Duet, ONE, JAM and MiC have powered many of the world’s most respected studios and have been instrumental in capturing countless GRAMMY® and OSCAR® winning performances by today’s biggest artists.

The Role:

Reporting to the CEO. We are looking for a sales, marketing and brand leader with music/consumer and pro-audio experience. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic and tactical sales, marketing and brand plans across all channels of distribution. This hands-on position is accountable for all aspects of our world wide business including driving profitable revenue growth, developing a sales team and liaising with stakeholders  such as Creative, Artist Relations, Operations, Finance and Distributors to execute sales plans.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow our world wide business by creating and implementing strategies to meet our financial objectives
  • Lead new business development plans with new partners and new categories to increase our revenue streams
  • Develop sales “go to market strategies” that drive profitable revenue across all channels of distribution
  • Present and coordinate with Creative and Artist Relation on sales opportunities including design and channel approvals

DSP Firmware Engineer

As a Senior DSP Firmware Engineer, this individual will be a core member of our Development Team working with the software and analog hardware teams.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage DSP tasks/ initiatives in the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions as an individual contribute with advanced knowledge within discipline

  • Work closely with systems engineers to design and implement DSP algorithms to meet constraints for latency, memory size, and power consumption

  • Implement DSP firmware to map high-level algorithms from Matlab/C to architecture-specific code, utilizing features such as SIMD, vector processing, assembly code, and caches

  • Analyze system performance to identify areas for optimization and inform chip architectural designs such as core selection, hardware accelerators, or custom instruction sets.

  • Experience working with USB Audio class drivers, Thunderbolt drivers and iOS protocol.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science

Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • As a  Senior Firmware Engineer you will  be an integral part of the product development team working to design cutting-edge audio recording products. The position requires expertise in firmware engineering, taking products from early concept stages, through a phase-gate development process, to mass production and follow-up support.

  • Develop firmware/embedded software for digital audio products that communicate with PCs, Macs, and mobile devices

  • Work with Electrical Engineering team to choose MCUs, DSPs, Codecs, etc. with the best balance of performance vs. cost

  • Assisting with hardware and system bring-up, supporting  other team members.

  • Interface with contract manufactures and QA Teams developing and implementing test procedures. 


Key Qualifications:

  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ with emphasis in Embedded Systems

  • Experience in embedded software architecture

  • Firmware development on ARM Cortex processors

  • Working knowledge of audio streaming concepts and protocols

Analog Hardware Design Engineer

  • Design electrical circuitry, including schematic entry and PCB layout.

  • Troubleshoot hardware prototypes and verify all aspects of electrical performance.
