Senior Software Engineer – Audio Engineering

We are looking for a senior software engineer to join us in our Santa Monica office to develop applications on OS X and Windows. With an emphasis on real-time audio, communication and control over protocols like TCP/IP and USB. We are looking for someone who has in-depth knowledge of OS X Core Audio, Windows audio, and interfacing with external hardware.
● 5+ years professional experience in software development
● 2+ years as scrum master
● Strong C++ & Object-C programming skills
● Strong understanding of real-time, multi-threaded, object-oriented programming
● Experience in OS X and Windows audio application development
● Experience developing audio applications
● Understands how to architect for optimal cross platform code re-use.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Understands optimizations and design trade-offs needed for real-time development.
● Authorized to work in the US
● 2+ years experience as a Scrum Master
● Experience leading a team of SW developers
● In-depth knowledge of Core Audio API’s
● Strong Swift programming experience, on Mac & iOS
● Audio driver experience; Mac, Windows or Linux
● Client/Server TCP/IP networking experience, sockets programming or higher level
● Cross platform UI experience in JUCE/C++

Later, Apogee’s complete conversion systems pushed the envelope of digital audio quality and established Apogee as a key innovator in the field of professional digital audio.
Apogee Electronics Operations team has an opening for a Buyer/Planner/Buyer.
Establishes and maintains replenishment levels to assure a smooth flow of product are delivered on time.
Coordinates with Suppliers to assure that purchased materials are on site in a timely manner to facilitate accurate and adequate parts availability to meet demands.
Where applicable manage consignment programs for materials and blanket purchasing agreements for commodity items.
Monitor, track and report on supplier compliance to delivery due dates, identify risks to late delivery, handle escalations with suppliers according to company procedure.
Maintains effective working relationship and communication with all departments.
Collaborates with Product Management & Engineering in new product introductions (NPI) and planned product discontinuations in order to minimize obsolescence and maximize customer’s delivery expectations.
Ensure Pricing is maintained accurately in the ERP/MRP system.
Collaborates with Warehouse; shipping/receiving and AP to ensure resolution of invoice discrepancies.
Experience: 7+ years of experience purchasing and planning in a similar industry or demonstrated equivalent knowledge of supply chain function through work experience or school. Experience supporting an NPI team, and a working knowledge of the NPI processes
Must be able to read mechanical blue prints or CAD generated drawings
Strong understanding of electronic components, connectors, PCB’s and Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA)
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical manufacturing processes.
Two (2) to four (4) years materials or accounting experience in purchasing or planning.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) as well as Internet software and E-mail is required.

Ability to multitask and perform in a high paced environment
Thorough understanding of supply chain management operational concepts surrounding production procurement, planning, scheduling,
Constant review of inventory levels to control excess.
Thorough knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic.
Facilitates procurement related meetings with other functional groups within Operations department to discuss daily/weekly schedules, quality issues, material shortages, logistics issues, and other manufacturing priorities.
Communicates the manufacturing risk & opportunities schedule to all involved parties on a weekly basis.
Creates and releases purchase orders that support on time delivery.
Interfaces with suppliers to follow up on RFQ lead times, provide purchase order status, expedite purchase orders as required and resolve problems with vendor.
Develops and executes production schedules based on forecast needs, maintain schedules.
Generates & manage vendor progress reports, and evaluates results.
Analyzes MRP data to ensure accuracy and that materials are on schedule.
Plans and coordinates material transfers to support production.
Participates with other personnel in cross-function process improvement efforts.
