macOS Big Sur and Apple Silicon M1 Chip Compatibility Information
We’re working hard on M1 compatibility for select Apogee products. Barring another pandemic or other unanticipated chaos, please see our delivery estimates for Apple silicon/M1 compatibility by product below.
NOTE: Regarding Apple’s announcement of the M1 iPad Pro with Thunderbolt port – Apogee’s USB devices already compatible with iPads will continue to work on this new model. Thunderbolt devices are restricted on iOS and therefore Apogee Element, Ensemble, Symphony mkII cannot be made compatible.

*Known Issues
These are the current known issues with Apogee products on Intel based Macs running macOS Big Sur
Symphony I/O Mk II Thunderbolt
- Some users may experience an issue after installing where the iLok License Manager app won’t open. This is usually accompanied by an ‘Activation Error – DirectIO’ dialog and/or a ‘Software Component Unavailable’ dialog. The solution is to run the latest iLok License Manager installer again after you run the Apogee installer. The iLok License Manager installer is available as a download from Pace’s iLok website. If the iLok License Manager opens fine after you run the Apogee installer, there is no need to run the iLok License Manager installer again.
